Pat Gelsinger, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at Intel is featured speaker at this year’s High Tech Prayer Breakfast
Atlanta (October 22, 2004) — Pat Gelsinger, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President Intel Corporation was the featured speaker at this year’s High Tech Prayer Breakfast, sharing his faith in Christ and industry perspective with over 1600 attendees.
As CTO, Gelsinger leads Intel’s Corporate Technology Group, which encompasses many Intel research activities, including leading Intel Labs and Intel Research, and driving industry alignment with those technologies and initiatives. Gelsinger coordinates Intel’s longer-term research efforts and helps ensure consistency from Intel’s emerging computing, networking and communications products and technologies. His goal for the industry is for technology to touch every human on the planet, all six and a half billion people, 7 by 24, in every modality of their life.
Gelsinger sees ’Recognition, Mining and Synthesis’ (RMS) as the three classes of workloads that will be the core for future applications. RMS workloads are not only a class of new algorithms a class of new data structures that will be analyzed for future, but they will also drive the next generation of architecture and what it is that we do in building computer architectures for the future.
Gelsinger holds six patents and six applications in the areas of VLSI design, computer architecture and communications. He has more than 20 publications in these technical fields, including Programming the "80386."
