Holiday greetings to all! The days are shorter, the twinkly lights are brighter and the joyful spirit of the holiday season is all around us. While this time of year is often the busiest for most of us, I love all of the activity, hope and happiness that will fill our schedules over the next few weeks.

This month, our feature article explores how the new year can be a great time to take a new, fresh approach to recruitment strategy. Then, our blog delves into how candidates can build a strong relationship with recruiters. Finally, we welcome Thompson’s new President and COO Amy Vasquez, who joined us in September and has hit the ground running.

Amid these hectic times, the holiday season is also an important reminder to give to those in need, and Thompson volunteers are demonstrating their charitable spirit by supporting several local charities.

‘Tis the season for giving back, and Thompson Technologies volunteers have been busy supporting causes within our community.

As part of our continued involvement with Camp Sunshine, an organization that supports children with cancer and their families, internal staff and consultants donated baked goods for their annual fall festival cakewalk.

In addition, we have volunteers scheduled to join the MUST Ministries toyshop in early December, which allows families who struggle with homelessness, unemployment and other economic challenges to shop for holiday gifts in a space that mimics a department store. Volunteers will be there greeting parents, assisting shoppers, stocking and sorting, and bringing holiday cheer!
