David Thompson
Founder & CEO

David Thompson has been involved in the IT industry for over 30 years as a Technical Consultant, Project Manager, Technical Recruiter, Branch Manager of a national IT Staffing firm and currently, the Founder and Assistant CEO of Thompson Technologies, founded in 1995.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, David joined the Air Force in 1978 and served honorably for six years as a Computer Programmer. After being discharged, David worked for three IT Staffing companies over the next ten years in positions as Billable Consultant, Recruiter and Account Executive.

In 1995, the door opened to launch Thompson Technologies. David was determined from the very beginning to differentiate the company from the rest of the pack in a crowded market. As a devout man of faith, David dedicated his company to God and named Him CEO. The original business plan was a scripture from the Old Testament, Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths”.

With a focus on quality, service and speed, Thompson Technologies quickly began to grow. Before the end of the first year, David had hired several people to assist in the fast-growing business and moved in to his first office in 1996. The company’s success has been remarkable, earning several industry growth awards over the next decade.

David is married to his childhood sweetheart from 7th grade, Lori, and will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary in 2009. The couple resides in Canton, GA, and has three grown children and three grandchildren (so far). David and Lori enjoy spending as much time with their family as possible and enjoy traveling to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where they have a vacation home. David and Lori are actively involved in Congregation Beth Hallel, a Messianic Jewish Synagogue in Roswell, GA.
