Community Corner
Giving back of time and talents is part of the fabric of Thompson Technologies. As David Thompson, CEO of Thompson Technologies shares, “We understand that the biblical principle of being blessed is to bless others.” Thompson Technologies has always given back to their local as well as the international community, and currently supports three international orphanages and numerous local agencies like MUST Ministries, Shop with a Hero, Techbridge, Hands on Atlanta and many others. In addition, the Thompson team hosts a quarterly community service event for staff and clients. Here’s a sampling of how Thompson Technologies makes a difference:
- Several internal Thompson team members recently visited The Bridge, an organization that aims to improve the quality of life and social functioning of Georgia’s troubled and abused adolescents by providing innovative community-based and family-focused therapeutic services, specialized education and residential care. During the afternoon get-together, which included friendly conversation and competitive boardgames, Thompson associates served as role models to a group of teens. Check out a few pictures from that day.
- This summer, Thompson Technologies will volunteer at MUST Ministries for the third year in a row, preparing sack lunches for children who normally receive reduced or free lunch during the school year. Volunteers at MUST distribute these nutritional lunches to ensure children eligible for reduced or free lunches during the school year also receive lunch during the summer break. Each year, MUST Ministries delivers over 1,200 sack lunches during the summer months.
